Experience. Dedication. Results You Can Trust.

At Mr. Canine Training, we believe great training goes beyond teaching commands; it's about creating lasting understanding, trust, and respect between dogs and their people.

Led by Angie Rever, we bring years of experience as balanced dog trainers, offering both personalized private sessions and immersive board and train programs. Our specialty is service dog training, with comprehensive programs designed to meet the unique needs of each handler-dog team.

As an American Kennel Club (AKC) approved evaluator, we also provide preparation and official testing for AKC titles, including the respected Canine Good Citizen program. This not only allows us to guide dogs towards nationally recognized achievements, but also ensures our training meets the highest standards of skill and reliability.

Every dog we work with receives a custom training plan tailored to their temperament, learning style, and goals. We focus on clean communication, fair guidance, and real-world results that fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Our mission is simple: helping dogs and their people live better, happier lives together. Whether your goal is a calm and well-mannered pet or a fully trained service dog, we're here to support you every step of the way.

The best relationships are built on trust, and great training makes that possible.

OUR TEAM

The People (and Paws) Behind the Training

Our success comes from a shared passion for dogs and dedication to helping them thrive. Every team member brings their own strengths, perspectives, and hands-on experience, but we all share one common goal: creating calm, confident dogs and happy, empowered owners.

We believe training works best when it's built on trust, consistency, and genuine care. That's why we approach each dog as an individual and every client as a valued member of our training family.

Proud to serve our local community. We're here to be your go-to resource for guidance, support, and results you can count on.

Angie Rever

Owner and Head Trainer

A Lifelong Passion for Dogs, Turned into a Life's Work

Angie's love for animals - especially dogs - began in early childhood. At just 11 years old, a chance encounter at a local mall introduced her to an organization that trained dogs for hearing and mobility assistance. She began volunteering with them and, over the next seven years, immersed herself in the world of service dogs, learning how skilled training could change lives for people with disabilities.

After years of dedicated volunteer work, Angie took time away from training other people's dogs to focus on raising her two young children. During that time, she continued to work with her own dogs and those of family and friends, while also exploring other parts of the dog world. She worked in two veterinary offices, an independent pet food store, and a pet food distribution center - gaining valuable knowledge about animal health and nutrition.

Eventually, Angie returned to professional dog training through an internship with one of Maryland's leading training centers. There, she honed her skills in behavior modifications, learning effective strategies to address unwanted behaviors and build reliable, well-mannered companions. After completing her internship, she was hired as a full-time trainer at the same facility, where she worked for several years.

In 2014, Angie and her family - two kids, three dogs, four cats, and her husband - made the cross-country move to Arizona. By 2015, after settling in, she opened Mr. Canine Training, turning her lifelong dream into a reality. Today she continues to help dogs and their owners achieve their goals, blending her deep experience with a genuine passion for improving lives through training. â€‹â€‹

Jimmy Marymee

Trainer

Two Decades of Experience, One Goal: Better Bonds

Jimmy has spent more than 20 years working with dogs, with 15 of those dedicated to professional training. At the age of 18, when his parents brought home a Weimaraner named Casper, Jimmy discovered just how deep the bond between a person and a dog could be. That connection sparked his passion for understanding canine behavior and set him on the path toward a lifelong career in training.

For over two decades, Jimmy has worked side-by-side - often in the background- with his wife and mentor, Angie, continually expanding his skills and knowledge. He has a special love for behavior modification, helping dogs overcome challenges and guiding their owners towards better communication and understanding. For Jimmy, the most rewarding part of training is seeing the transformation when a once-frustrated dog and owner finally click and begin working as a true team.
